113 AFTER Most Common Mechanical Failures in Water Circuits and Equipment If the plumbing reservations left in the base, side curtain, and top slab during the pool molding stage are not installed under appropriate conditions and with the correct specifications, subsequent concrete drilling/cutting and coring operations may cause water leaks due to insulation failure. In particular, incorrect installation of underwater lighting fixtures, lack of vortex feature in the bottom drain grates used in the pool floor, and incorrect and careless execution of the internal insulation and coating of the bottom drain manholes are common mechanical faults. Insufficient diameter and number of vacuum nozzles (vacuum cleaners) that provide pool bottom cleaning; failure to install a sufficient number of water supply nozzles as required by the standards makes it difficult to achieve homogeneous water distribution in the pool, making it operationally difficult to sterilize the water and thus creating more labor and expense. Additionally, the manual application of disinfection chemicals used in water conditioning during operation is among the most common and frequent errors encountered. Mechanical Technologies Used in Modern Pools and Aquaparks In modern pool and aquapark systems, mechanical pumps with high energy efficiency, minimum E3, and preferably E4-E5 energy efficiency and quiet operation should generally be used. For pool water disinfection, automatic chlorine/pH control devices or salt- chlorine devices and automation systems for circulation pumps should be installed, and remote access should be provided. Accessories such as breathing aids, grab bars on the edges, disabled ramps or stairs should be installed for use by disabled people and middle- aged and older people; in addition, different in-pool massage and activity animations can be designed when designing pools. Lighted or audible emergency stop buttons should be installed in several easily accessible corners around the edges of the pools. Each slide installed in aquaparks must have emergency stop buttons. Warning signs indicating the slope-depth and slide height of the pools should be used. The interior lighting of pools should not be of a tiring color; exit INTERVIEW
