168 BEFORE This project tells a story of transformation from the worn surface of glass mosaic over time to the strong and reliable texture of porcelain. The flaking and deformation in the existing coating not only caused aesthetic losses but also indicated problems that threatened the infrastructure and insulation system. With the renovation, the delicate structure of the glass mosaic was left behind, and porcelain surfaces that would remain in harmony with water for many years were installed.
