RENOVATION - SERAPOOL Porcelain

“Functional issueswere themain trigger for the decision to renovate the pool project in Çeşme. When interpreting the project, we prioritized functionality and made decisions aimed at reconciling this with aesthetics. In doing so, we took advantage of the innovations and solutions offered by the industry. Over time, we got rid of the plastic weir channels, mosaics, and natural stone copings that were causing us problems. Instead, we took care to use porcelain materials that will serve in the long term and require no maintenance on all surfaces: inside the pool, around it, and even on a fixed seating group.” A Durable and Stylish Solution for Storage Issues: The Porcelain Seating Area Can Çuhadar explains that the idea of using porcelain for the seating area in the garden arose from the need to combine daily use and aesthetics: “Storing garden furniture was a problem for our client. Therefore, we wanted to create a design that would allow us to store only the cushions and that would enable quick and easy cleaning of the surface when necessary. Thanks to the inner and outer trims offered by Serapool, we had the opportunity to create a design that was both aesthetic and safe. Thus, the porcelain tiles around the pool covered a three- dimensional product and blended in with the floor.” Technical Challenges and Expert Collaborations Can Çuhadar continued, explaining how they dealt with the technical details that arose during the renovation process: “The industry is constantly evolving and offering us new solutions and materials. In addition, professional groups are becoming more specialized in specific areas every day. We are able to access the right materials and experts in their field while doing our job. This allows us to work with reliable partners when implementing our detailed solutions and guarantee the accuracy of the work. In this project, the upper structure, particularly the porcelain tiling of the horseshoe-shaped jacuzzi, posed a challenge for our craftsman. However, the result was well worth the effort.” Izmir Sahilevleri: A New Living Space with a Pool Can Çuhadar shared his thoughts on the process of adding a pool to an area that previously did not have one in the İzmir Sahilevleri project: “When we looked at the architectural design of the house, we saw a structure in amodern Tuscan style, dominated by earth tones and featuring natural stone and wood details. When designing the pool, we took care to position it as part of the structure, creating a design that was in harmony with both the architectural style and the topography of the site.” He continued, elaborating on the subject: “We added features to our amorphous-shaped pool that would enhance the enjoyment of the living space, such as a jacuzzi, rock waterfall, bar, and sunbathing terrace. 30 SERAPOOL l RENOVATION BEFORE
